Spring is a magnificent time of the year.  Not only are the plants blooming but the birds are out enjoying the feast too.  Red Wattle Birds (anthochaera carunculata) definately enjoy an annual feast on the Red Hot Poker whenever they are in spring blossom.

This is Nanki the serval , one of my best friends at the zoo!

I've had the privilege of raising her from a three month old kitten. She is sharp witted, has a great personality and you can meet her at the Werribee Open Range Zoo.
